About Smiles All Round Petcare
Smiles All Round Pet Sitting began in 2017 when Lisa Yee turned her lifelong love of animals into a trusted local service. What started as helping friends and neighbours with their pets quickly grew into a reliable, loving service that treats every pet like family. In April 2026, Lisa relocated abroad, and Nicole McLean took the lead to continue giving pets and families personal, tailored care - inspiring the name change to Smiles All Round Petcare.

A bit about Nicole
I was raised on farms in Zimbabwe, where caring for animals was simply part of everyday life. Many of my earliest memories are of bottle-feeding lambs, raising chickens, and learning responsibility through hands-on care. I grew up surrounded by a wide variety of animals—horses, cattle, rodents, snakes, fish, parrots, dogs, and cats, as well as majestic African wildlife —each one shaping my understanding of animal behaviour and wellbeing.
Inspired by the stories of James Herriot and Gerald Durrell, I developed a deep appreciation for the bond between people and animals from a young age. When I immigrated to Aotearoa in my teens, farm life here also meant early mornings helping to milk cows, building a strong work ethic and a calm, patient approach to animal handling.
This lifelong connection with animals has carried through into my adult life, and I bring that same dedication, kindness, and experience to every pet I care for. Whether it’s energetic, elderly, or somewhere in between, I understand that each animal is unique and deserves thoughtful, compassionate care.
